Job summary

US Foods in Orlando, FL is seeking a maintenance technician to upkeep production and facility equipment and perform repairs as needed. The role requires following PM schedules, documenting actions, and maintaining a safe work environment per policy.

Responsibilities include reviewing equipment reports, maintaining logs, and possibly purchasing tools from local vendors. Suitable candidates have a High School diploma or equivalent and at least six months of mechanic experience.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent preferred; additional mechanic training or trade school degree preferred.
• Related Experience: A minimum of six months previous mechanic experience required.
• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of equipment repair and operation; able to repair and overhaul warehouse & production equipment; welding ability; able to read and write legibly; able to follow orders; basic mathematical skills; able to work with little direct supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance to all production/facility equipment to ensure availability for day and night operations.
• Review equipment reports, record actions/repairs, and maintain a repair log per policy.
• Complete documentation for equipment-related activities.
• Perform preventive maintenance and maintain PM log with documentation per policy.
• Comply with safety guidelines (Lock Out/Tag Out, placarding, safe work environment).
• Maintain and secure battery-charging area and related equipment.
• Manage company tools, replacement parts and maintenance equipment; inventory, storage and security.
