Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is seeking a Food Service Manager IV for Mexia State Supported Living Center. The role leads the Food Service department, oversees staff, and ensures compliance with sanitation, safety, and policy standards while maintaining accurate records and reports.

The position requires supervision of daily meal operations, adherence to facility guidelines, and proactive management of equipment and supplies to support high-quality resident meals and dining

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited high school or GED is required.
• Minimum 4 years of food service experience, with supervisory responsibilities.
• Current certification through the DMA or a Texas Food Safety Manager certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise department staff and manage daily operations.
• Plan, direct and monitor food preparation and service per policy and sanitation standards.
• Maintain records and submit reports; ensure safety and sanitation across the unit.
