Job summary

Geisinger in Danville, PA seeks an experienced Food Service Supervisor to oversee daily operations in our hospital dining services. You will manage staff, schedule meals, coordinate training, monitor quality and sanitation, and ensure compliance with HACCP and department standards. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential.

You will collaborate with management to implement menu development, drive timely service, and maintain high patient and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a foodservice team in a hospital or similar setting.
• Ability to supervise staff and manage workflows.
• Knowledge of HACCP, sanitation, and safety standards.
• Strong scheduling, training, and policy implementation skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily activities of the foodservice staff.
• Schedules staff and monitors performance; conducts meetings and feedback.
• Ensures deadlines are met and operations comply with policy and procedure.
• Enforces quality, safety, sanitation and HACCP standards.
• Coordinates recruitment, orientation and training for new hires.
• Responds to questions from patients, staff and guests in Foodservices.
