Role Overview

Sodexo Government Services has an exciting Food Service Manager 2 opportunity to be part of a growing account in our Camp Lejeune, NC district. The position is responsible for a budget of over $6,500,000 annually and manages 16 Sodexo employees as well as 16 sub-partner employees in a union environment. There is great satisfaction from serving those that serve, and it is core to our mission to "Improve the Quality of Daily Life for Everyone We Serve."

What You'll Do

• Oversee the food service program at a long-standing government contract's mess hall and demonstrate impeccable attention to detail within a food establishment.
• Deliver on tight budgetary constraints and understand the importance of full food management contract execution.
• Handle multiple challenges of contract management.
• Promote and mentor team members to excellence.
• Create a positive environment.
• Ensure Sodexo Standards are met.

What You Bring

• Strong leadership skills demonstrated through work history, with previous supervisory experience and a background in safety and sanitation compliance.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for high-level customer service.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
• Understanding of safe food handling practices, qualities, and standards (e.g., HACCP forms, temperature logs, safety audits, inventory management).
