Provides prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service. Assists food service department managers to present the freshest, most innovative, and highest quality products at competitive retail prices to customers.

Reporting Relations
Reports to: District Store Director, Store Manager, Assistant Managers of Store Operations, Perishables, and Health Wellness Home
Positions reporting to you: Department Managers, Service Managers, Chefs, and Food Service Staff
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides prompt, friendly customer service, exhibiting caring, concern, and patience in all interactions.
- Greets customers warmly, learns and uses their names when possible.
- Assists customers with products, including locating items, handling out-of-reach products, and taking suggestions or requests.
- Answers calls promptly, taking product orders and providing helpful service.
- Works with co-workers to ensure customer satisfaction and a positive work environment.
- Reviews daily production lists and assigns tasks accordingly.
- Ensures food display cases are stocked and products are rotated.
- Monitors kitchen areas for cleanliness, safety, and operational needs, assigning tasks to staff.
- Oversees food quality, presentation, and inventory across departments.
- Collaborates with chefs on menu planning and procurement.
- Estimates food costs, supervises portion control, and minimizes waste.
- Maintains high standards of service, cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance.
- Analyzes sales data, plans marketing and advertising strategies.
- Ensures health, safety, and liquor regulations are followed.
- Handles customer complaints and resolves issues effectively.
- Coordinates maintenance and repairs of equipment.
- Creates and prices menus based on cost analysis.
- Recruits, trains, and schedules food service staff.
- Enforces sanitation and food safety guidelines.
- Ensures personal hygiene and dress code compliance among staff.
- Follows all store policies and reports to work as scheduled.
Secondary Duties
- Assumes supervisory duties in absence of managers.
- Supports other store areas as needed.
- Ensures competitive pricing.
- Performs additional duties and projects as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Instructs and assigns tasks to staff, maintains standards, and manages personnel.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Excellent hospitality skills.
- Problem-solving ability with limited standardization.
- Basic arithmetic and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to guide and direct staff.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent; sanitation courses encouraged; at least one year of related experience.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 20 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly.
- Visual acuity and physical activities including climbing, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, lifting, and more.
Working Conditions
Exposure to cool, damp, noisy environments, equipment hazards, and chemicals. Fast-paced setting.
Equipment Used
Cash registers, slicers, ovens, computers, and various kitchen and cleaning equipment.
