Food City is seeking a Food Service Manager to lead the department with a focus on customer service, merchandising, and staff development. You will manage staffing, training, and daily operations to meet sales projections and ensure a best-in-class customer experience.

The role emphasizes leading by example, maintaining a safe, clean department, and implementing marketing plans and plan-o-grams while adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent work experience is required.
• 3 years’ experience in Food Service Department operations.
• Must be able to resolve differences and diffuse difficult situations through diplomatic means.
• Knowledge of training methods and ability to lead by example.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and promote the company mission.
• Lead by example for customer service, associate relations, cleanliness, and profitability.
• Manage staffing and scheduling to meet weekly sales projections and service levels.
• Recruit, hire, orient, train, and develop Food City associates in the Food Service Department.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and local/state/federal regulations.
