Job summary

Aramark in Albuquerque, NM, is seeking a Food Service Worker Lead for the University of New Mexico campus. You will assist with food prep, portioning meals, and serving, under the guidance of a manager, while learning on the job and building strong customer connections.

You will lead line operations, ensure portions and safety standards, and support daily setup, serving, and sanitation to provide great service at events and cafeterias.

Qualifications

• Serve Safe Certification required.
• Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
• Food service experience preferred.
• Frequent lifting of hot food items.
• Ability to work in a kitchen with heated equipment and noise.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of and assist in preparation of food items for the day.
• Coordinate setup and breakdown of stations designated by the manager.
• Cook and prepare foods according to recipes and directions.
• Ensure accurate portions when preparing and serving items on the line.
• Maintain daily temperature logs.
• Take samples of all food items on the line prior to serving.
• Alert management and pull items not meeting quality expectations.
• Complete opening and closing station checklists.
• Greet customers and handle feedback with a positive attitude.
• Maintain clean work stations and sanitized utensils.
• Responsible for waste disposal from the service line.
• Transport supplies between storage and work areas.
• Assist with safety observations and report hazards.
• Cross-train in areas as needed.
• Work in concessions, catering, and events as required.
• Perform tasks requested by supervisor weekly/monthly.
• Lead and advise employees on the line for timely service.
