Job summary

Aramark Des Moines location is seeking a Food Service Worker Lead to assist with food preparation, portioning, and serving. You will lead the line under supervision, coordinating setup and breakdown of stations while ensuring quality and timely service.

You will learn on the job with guidance from the manager, develop leadership skills, and contribute to a positive customer experience in a fast-paced food service environment.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Leadership and supervisory capabilities.
• Ability to work well in a team setting.
• Serve Safe Certification is preferred.
• Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
• Food service experience is preferred.
• Role may involve frequent lifting of hot items.
• Work in a kitchen with hot equipment and noise.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of food preparation and serving on the line.
• Coordinate setup and breakdown of stations as directed by the manager.
• Cook and prepare foods following recipes and guidance.
• Ensure accurate portions and maintain temperature logs.
• Greet customers and address service questions with a positive attitude.
• Maintain a clean work area and sanitation of utensils and surfaces.
• Assist with safety observations and report hazards.
