Job summary

Aramark in West Long Branch, NJ is seeking a Food Service Worker to assist with food prep, portioning, and serving customers. You’ll learn on the job under the guidance of a manager while building strong connections with guests.

You’ll be part of a team that values organization, accountability, and a positive attitude. The role includes rotating tasks, maintaining safety and cleanliness, and supporting concessions, catering, and events as needed.

Qualifications

• Customer service and interpersonal skills required.
• Leadership and supervisory abilities.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Serve Safe Certification required.
• Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
• Food service experience preferred.
• Frequent lifting/transporting hot items.
• Work in kitchen with heated equipment and chemicals; PPE as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead food preparation and dating of products.
• Set up/break down stations as directed by manager.
• Cook and prepare foods according to recipes.
• Ensure accurate portions on the line.
• Maintain daily temperature logs.
• Take samples of all food items prior to serving.
• Alert management to quality issues.
• Complete opening/closing station checklists.
• Greet customers and solicit feedback on service.
• Maintain clean work station and sanitary utensils.
• Dispose of waste properly.
• Move supplies between storage and work areas.
• Participate in daily safety observations.
• Cross-train for additional areas such as concessions, catering, events.
• Perform tasks as requested by supervisor.
• Coordinate line staffing to ensure timely service; assist sanitation as needed.
