Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Food Service Worker in Vandalia, Missouri to assist with food preparation, portioning meals, and serving customers. You will learn on the job under the guidance of a manager while delivering friendly, efficient service.

Responsibilities include setting up stations, cooking per recipes, maintaining portions, logging temperatures, and keeping a clean, safe work area. Strong customer service, teamwork, and following instructions are essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership and supervisory abilities.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Serve Safe Certification is required or in progress.
• Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
• Food service experience preferred.
• Frequent lifting of hot items may be required.
• Work in kitchen with heated equipment, steam, noise and chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist in daily food preparation and portioning.
• Set up and break down work stations as directed by the manager.
• Cook and prepare foods according to recipes and directions.
• Ensure accurate portions when serving items on the line.
• Maintain daily temperature logs and sample foods before serving.
• Address customer feedback with a positive attitude and resolve issues.
• Keep work areas and utensils clean and sanitized.
• Assist with opening/closing station checklists and safety practices.
