Job summary

Banner North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley seeks a Food Service Lead to supervise culinary operations, coordinate shifts, and ensure safe, quality service. You will monitor staff, uphold sanitation standards, and lead service across multiple areas while supporting patient and customer dining needs.

The role requires independent leadership, familiarity with food handling regulations, and the ability to train staff. Weekend rotation is included with differential compensation where applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Ability to learn computer software, email, and POS systems.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills; good problem-solving.
• Experience in food preparation techniques and event cooking when applicable.
• Must be able to inventory and count money; perform math calculations.
• Operate on-site food service equipment and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership of culinary staff in assigned areas and oversee daily service.
• Ensure food handling and sanitation standards meet regulatory requirements.
• Train and develop staff; resolve customer service issues.
• Manage inventories and determine ordering/production based on par levels and needs.
• Prepare food items according to production forecasts and recipes.
• Coordinate with departments and oversee catering events when required.
