Food Service Associate

Job Purpose

Each Huck's Market Food Service Associate plays a vital role in ensuring the food service area operates smoothly and effectively. By adhering to company guidelines, Associates help maintain profitability while delivering high-quality food and excellent customer service.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

General Responsibilities

• Ensure the food service department is open and ready during operational hours
• Provide prompt and courteous service to all customers
• Communicate effectively with store associates
• Follow all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations
• Manage food preparation to minimize waste while ensuring sufficient supply for customers

Human Resources

• Treat all associates with dignity and respect
• Report personnel issues or policy violations affecting store operations to the store manager
• Assist in training new associates on job duties

Security

• Follow all shift procedures and safety protocols
• Maintain a safe shopping and working environment
• Use protective equipment and follow safety rules

Merchandising

• Use current plan-o-grams
• Communicate special needs or requests to the manager
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering to prevent stockouts

Huck’s Bucks Loyalty App

• Promote the app to customers
• Explain benefits of signing up and using the app
• Monitor transactions for misuse
• Help customers sign up and redeem discounts

Maintenance

• Maintain food service appearance to company standards
• Keep display cases and glass clean
• Report maintenance issues to the store manager
• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of food service areas

Safety

• Use ladders properly
• Follow proper lifting procedures
• Use wet floor signs as needed
• Report accidents promptly
