Job summary

Tucson Unified School District is seeking personnel to assist with meal production, assembly and cleanup across multiple sites. This temporary, hourly supplemental role operates 4 hours per day within a 9-month school calendar.

Applicants must be at least 18, have six months of food service experience, and demonstrate basic math and reading skills at a fifth-grade level. English reading/written comprehension and following instructions are essential.

• Ability to read and follow written/graphic and oral instructions in English.

Minimum Requirements

• Six (6) months experience in food preparation or food service related experience
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Demonstrated math and reading skills at the fifth-grade level
• Verbal and written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions

Requirements Prior to Start Date

• FBI fingerprint background check
• Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization
• Bloodborne Pathogen training offered by TUSD Risk Management Department

Work Calendar: 9 month

Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
