Job summary

SkyChefs in Des Plaines, IL is hiring a Food Service Employee - Cold Food to prepare meals for airline specifications by slicing, wrapping, assembling and packing dishes. You will load catering carts and handle ingredients in a controlled kitchen environment.

The role requires English literacy, ability to work 8+ hour shifts, stand, lift 50+ lbs, and maintain clean, safe work areas following Safe Food Handling guidelines. We offer full-time hours, weekly pay and benefits after 30 days.

Qualifications

Environmental Requirements:

• Will be exposed to extreme temperature changes (hot and cold) and noise.
• Working in a cold weather environment of approximately 40 degrees.
• This position requires employees to be active, walking, heavy lifting and pushing 50+ lbs.
