Food Service Director Qualifications & Responsibilities:

1. Inspects the Dietary Department daily to ensure that it is safe and sanitary.
2. Submits written reports to the administration as necessary.
3. Plans nutritionally balanced & therapeutic meals that reflect the likes and dislikes of residents, as well as Public Health regulations.
4. Responsible for food purchase, production, and timely service of meals.
5. Directs and supervises all dietary functions and personnel.
6. Hires, orients, trains, counsels, disciplines, and when appropriate, terminates dietary employees.
7. High School diploma or equivalent.
8. Nursing home kitchen management experience.
9. Ability to work independently or as part of a group.
10. Computer knowledge.
11. 2-3 years experience in long term care preferred.
12. ServSafe Required.

Food Service Director Schedules & Benefits:
