Responsibilities

• Plan menus according to CACFP nutrition guidelines and reimbursement requirements.
• Shop for meals and snacks as directed.
• Maintain a clean and sanitized prep and cooking area at all times.
• Prepare breakfast, lunch, and snacks for classrooms.
• Maintain CACFP refrigerator/freezer temperature charts and food production logs.
• Clean kitchens, dishes, bathrooms, and manage trash when janitorial staff are absent.
• Follow universal health precautions and cover lunch breaks for teachers if needed.
• Report to work on schedule and maintain good attendance.
• Participate actively in program activities, trainings, and meetings.
• Complete required training in First Aid/CPR, Blood-Borne Pathogens, Fire Safety, Food Handling, and Vehicle Operations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned within scope.

Compensation and Benefits

Our food service cooks earn $17.75 per hour. Benefits include:
