Summary
Food Service Cooks are primarily responsible for guest relations and satisfaction. They will cook deli products according to The United Family’s specifications and standards. All duties must be performed safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and engage guests upon entering the area or department.
- Follow designated food production lists.
- Perform food production tasks in a timely manner.
- Ensure all cooking functions are performed safely, preventing cross contamination.
- Complete closing duties, including managing walk-in coolers and freezers, cleaning floors, and organizing workspaces, with attention to proper food storage.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Key Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, squat, climb, and walk.
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs to a height of 4 feet.
- Ability to read, write, and complete sales reports.
- Ability to work up to 8-10 hours in a controlled, cool environment.
- Ability to work in a freezer for 15 minutes.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including slicers, mixers, ovens, and food processors.
- Accept supervisory coaching.
- Maintain current Food Safety certification.
- Work well as part of a team.
