Job summary

North Hills School District is seeking a Coffee Shop/Hilltop Cafe Operator at the High School campus. The role runs on a 6:00 AM to 1:30 PM schedule during approximately 180 instructional days. The position is immediately available and pays $15.50 per hour.

Responsibilities include serving students and staff, following safety rules, and performing basic prep and clean-up tasks to maintain a safe, welcoming cafe environment.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
• Ability to speak effectively before students and staff.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic as part of cash handling or measuring ingredients.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in writing.
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel and lift up to 50 lbs.

SCHEDULE: 6:00 AM-1:30 PM

RATE OF PAY: $15.50/hour

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED;
• Act 34, 151, 114 Clearances for successful candidate;
• Prior Food Service experience preferred;
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals; ability to speak effectively before students and staff;
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure;
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing;
• Ability to frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel and occasionally lift, carry and/or push/pull up to 50 lbs.
