Onslow Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, NC is seeking a Food Service Worker to assist in setup and serving of food, and to help with meal service across patient rooms and cafeteria areas. The role supports cleaning, safety, and Starbucks service program duties as needed.

Requirements include a High School education with at least one year in commercial food prep/service, preferably in a healthcare setting. Full-time hours, varied shifts across the hospital property.

Qualifications

• High School education, graduate preferred.
• Minimum of one year experience in a commercial food preparation and service function, preferably a health care institution.

Responsabilités

• This person participates in overall process of patient and cafeteria meal service including preparation, assembly, service, delivery and pick up.
• Communicates with patients, staff and guests to ensure accuracy and timelines of patient meal trays and floor stock.
• Participates in the overall process of catering and special function meal service.
• Performs cleaning duties and including cleaning various pieces of equipment throughout the department.
• Uses equipment in a safe and effective manner.
• Assists in the orientation and training of new employees.
• Performs any or all duties of kitchen, tray line, patient room service program, cafeteria, Starbucks service program and dish room as required by staffing.
• Assists in collection of data for improvement of organizational performance and quality control indicators as assigned.

Job Details

Job Location: Onslow Memorial Hospital - Jacksonville, NC 28546, Position Type: Full Time 1.0, Job Shift: Varies, The Food Service Worker may work anywhere on property where food is prepared or served. This person will assist in setup and serving of food from counters and steamtables. Duties will include cleaning and sanitizing equipment and work stations.

General Responsibilities

The general responsibilities of the position include those listed below, but the manager may identify other responsibilities of the position.

• This person participates in overall process of patient and cafeteria meal service including preparation, assembly, service, delivery and pick up.
• Also responsible for effectively communicating with patients, staff and guest of the hospital to ensure accuracy and timelines of patient meal trays and floor stock.
• Participates in the overall process of catering and special function meal service.
• Performs cleaning duties and including cleaning various pieces of equipment throughout the department.
• Uses equipment in a safe and effective manner.
• Assists in the orientation and training of new employees.
