Qualifications

• One or more years of prior work experience in the food industry.
• Prior experience working with the intellectually disabled.
• This position requires you to be able to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Preparing, cooking and serving food without waste and to meet budgetary and quality assurance expectations.
• Meeting health department regulations and OSHA standards of health, safety and sanitation.
• Providing training and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities who work and eat in the Cottage Café.
• Serving customers at the front counter by taking orders and running the cash register.
• Maintains food at appropriate temperatures; covers and stores leftovers and records temperatures.
• Destroys or disposes of outdated, sensitive documents as required.
• Cooks, bakes, or serves regular and/or special meals to clients and staff.
• Coordinates an inventory management system to control and distribute supplies and equipment.
• Cleans, sterilizes and disinfects areas and equipment.
• Maintains excellent customer service skills.
• Maintains exemplary work habits.
