Job summary

State of Utah in American Fork, UT, is seeking a full-time food service worker to join the Cottage Café on-site. You will prepare meals, ensure safety and sanitation, and support residents and staff in a structured institutional setting.

Applicants must hold a Utah County Food Handler's permit, have at least one year in the food industry, and be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds. The role offers a full benefits package and a daytime Mon-Fri schedule.

Qualifications

Must hold a valid Utah County Food Handler's permit.
At least 1 year of experience in the food industry.
Experience working with intellectually disabled individuals preferred.

Responsibilities

Preparing, cooking and serving food without waste and to meet budgetary and quality standards.
Meet health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Provide training and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities who work and eat in the Cottage Café.
Serve customers at the front counter and operate cashier duties.
Maintain proper food temperatures and proper storage of leftovers.
Assist with inventory management and supply distribution.
Sanitize areas and equipment and maintain cleanliness.
Maintain exemplary customer service and work habits.
