Responsibilities

• Ensures that the food service department is open and ready for business during food service hours
• Gives all customers prompt and courteous service
• Effectively communicates with store associates
• Follows all federal, state and local laws and ordinances pertaining to the operation of the store
• Controls how much food is prepared to avoid waste while ensuring availability for customers
• Treats all associates with dignity and respect
• Advises store manager of personnel situations or policy violations
• Assists in training new associates on proper completion of duties
• Ensures all associate shift procedures are followed
• Maintains a safe shopping and working environment
• Follows safety rules and uses protective equipment
• Monitors inventory to prevent out-of-stocks and maintain proper levels
• Actively promotes the Huck's Bucks Loyalty app to customers
• Monitors transactions to prevent misuse of points or discounts
• Assists customers on sign-up and redemption of the app
• Maintains food service appearance and cleanliness of display cases
• Reports maintenance problems to the store manager
• Ensures sanitation procedures are followed
• Uses ladders and lifting procedures safely
• Reports accidents promptly to management and corporate office
