Job summary

Huck’s Market in Georgetown, KY is seeking a Food Service Associate to help run the food service area smoothly, deliver quality food and customer service, and support store operations.

You will handle opening tasks, assist customers, promote Huck’s Bucks loyalty app, follow safety and sanitation procedures, and collaborate with team members to maintain inventory and standards. Responsibilities

• Ensures that the food service department is open and ready for business during food service hours
• Gives all customers prompt and courteous service
• Effectively communicates with store associates
• Follows all federal, state and local laws and ordinances pertaining to the operation of the store
• Controls how much food is prepared to avoid waste, while making sure there’s always enough for customers
• Treats all associates with dignity and respect
• Advises store manager of any personnel situations or policy violations having an adverse effect on store operating performance
• Assist in training new associates on proper completion of their job duties
• Ensures all associate shift procedures are followed
• Ensures a safe shopping and working environment
• Ensures all safety rules are followed and protective equipment used
• Ensures current plan-o-grams are being used
• Communicate with Manager any special needs or request
• Alerts Manager about ordering merchandise to prevent out of stocks and maintain proper inventory levels as directed
• Actively promote the Huck’s Bucks Loyalty app to customers
• Communicate to customers the benefits of signing up and using the app
• Monitor transactions for potential misuse of points or discounts
• Assist customers on how to sign up and use the app for discounts and redemption
• Ensures the food service appearance reflects company expectations and standards
• All food service display cases and glass are clean
• Reports any maintenance problems that cannot be corrected immediately without assistance to the store manager
• Ensures all food service areas are kept clean and follows all sanitation procedures
• Ensures that ladders are properly used
• Ensures that lifting procedures are followed per company policy
• Ensures that wet floor signs are used, per company policy
• Reports accidents promptly to the Store Manager and Corporate office
