Job summary

The Toledo Zoo is seeking a Food Services Associate in Toledo, OH to join our concessions team. This part-time role involves food preparation, serving guests, operating cash registers, taking orders, stocking supplies, and maintaining clean, safe service areas.

Flexibility is required to work weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays. Applicants should be 16+ and capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment across catering, concessions, and restaurants.

Qualifications

• Must be 16+ years of age.
• Prefer experience in food service or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.
• Candidates must be able to take direction, work independently and multi-task.
• Strong customer service and communication skills are a plus.
• Work schedules include weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Must have the physical ability to work on your feet and be outdoors for several hours at a time.
• The Toledo Zoo is a drug-free workplace, including marijuana.

Responsibilities

• Operate cash registers and take customer orders.
• Serve alcohol when required.
• Stock supplies and maintain cleanliness of service areas.
• Assist across catering, concessions, and restaurants.
• Support other departments as needed.
• Maintain health and safety standards in all food areas.
