Overview

Food Service Associates provide service to all Break Time food service customers, maintaining high standards for food preparation, cleanliness, and adherence to company policies and procedures to ensure efficient operations during their shift. They are energetic individuals who believe it only takes a moment to make someone's day better.

Responsibilities

As a Break Time Food Service Associate, your typical duties may include:

1. Working with customers: Greeting and thanking customers courteously, providing fast and friendly service, handling complaints promptly, and conducting transactions accurately.
2. Merchandising and sales: Promoting sales through suggestive selling techniques.
3. Food preparation: Following guidelines, recipes, and job aids for proper food preparation; inspecting products for correct temperature, cleanliness, rotation, portioning, and pricing.
4. Maintaining a clean environment: Sanitizing equipment and food service areas, adhering to standards for quality, safety, and cleanliness.
5. Communication: Maintaining professional communication with customers, vendors, colleagues, and management regarding store operations.
6. Working closely with management: Completing training programs and assisting in training new employees on policies and procedures.
7. Teamwork: Collaborating with team members to comply with all regulations and store policies.
8. Working with technology: Using store systems, performing calculations, and completing reports accurately.
9. Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Friendly, customer-oriented personality with enthusiasm for a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
• Reliable transportation.
• Willingness to attend food safety training and obtain necessary certifications.
• Physical ability to handle products in cold environments and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to perform calculations, learn new systems, and operate equipment.
• Willingness to ascend ladders occasionally.
• Ability to perform duties accurately with minimal supervision.
