Job summary

Meriwether Godsey is seeking a Food Service Associate for a private, coeducational college-preparatory school in Holderness, NH. This full-time role requires evening and weekend availability in a mix of day, evening, weekday, and weekend shifts.

Salary range is $17.00 to $19.00 annually with benefits including free meals and uniforms. The position involves greeting customers, overseeing catering activities, operating registers and payment terminals, transporting food, setting up and breaking

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of related food service experience.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to converse with faculty, students and staff with ease.
• Flexibility; ability to switch between locations and job duties.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a positive and friendly attitude.
• Help to oversee that catering activities run smoothly.
• Operate registers, scanners, scales, and credit card/debit card terminals while handling exchanges in a quick, efficient manner.
• Transport food and supplies to the serving area; assist in the set-up, maintenance, and breakdown of dining, food serving, and beverage areas.
• Serve and replenish food from food counters and steam tables.
• Assists in the preparation of hot and/or cold foods, and properly stores food, utilizing knowledge of temperature requirements and spoilage.
• Keep dining room areas and assigned kitchen areas neat and organized.
• Clean and sanitize work areas, dining tables, chairs, and equipment throughout and after meal periods.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of other kitchen areas by following daily and weekly cleaning assignments.
• Inspect workstations for compliance with service standards.
• Participate in regular safety meetings, safety training, and hazard assessments.
