Job summary

Sanford Health in Bismarck, ND seeks a part-time food service worker to monitor and prepare meals, maintain cleanliness, and handle cash transactions in the cafeteria.

Salary Range: $15.00 – $22.50
Pay Info: $1,250 sign on bonus

Job Summary

• Monitor and record proper temperature of food.
• Set up and maintain a clean, sanitized serving area.
• Prepare and serve food items.
• Restock food areas.
• Clean and sanitize equipment.
• Receive payment for food and beverages using a computerized register.
• Comply with Hazardous Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines.
• Provide outstanding customer service and communicate effectively with patrons and co‑workers.
• Establish effective working relationships.
• Maintain quality control standards.
• Operate equipment such as grills, beverage machines, toasters, ice‑cream dispensers, cash registers, computerized cash registers, steam equipment, dishwashers, telephones, refrigerators and freezers.
• Possess experience working in the food industry (preferred).
• Work independently when necessary.
• Understand food safety and sanitation processes.
• Stand and walk for the majority of the day.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 16 years.
• Previous customer service experience, retail counting and reconciliation of money.
• Knowledge of food service.
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions.
• Basic math skills.
• On‑the‑job training provided.
• ServSafe certification may be required depending on location.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) may be required depending on location requirements.
