Job summary

HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital is seeking a Surgical Services Aide PRN to support the surgical team in a high‑volume facility. The role focuses on non‑clinical tasks including patient transport, OR preparation and equipment handling to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Responsibilities include maintaining sterile conditions, managing supplies, and assisting with environmental upkeep while collaborating with nurses and surgeons. A commitment to infection control and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have physical stamina and ability to assist in a fast-paced surgical setting.
• Strong attention to detail and clear communication are essential.
• Knowledge of infection control and familiarity with surgical procedures preferred.
• Certification as Surgical Assistant is preferred; basic life support certification required within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients.
• Prepare operating rooms and maintain cleanliness.
• Provide patient care support as needed by the surgical team.
• Maintain equipment and environmental cleanliness.
• Manage supplies and stocking.
