Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Good organizational, record keeping and telephone skills.
• Ability to lift 35 lbs alone and 50 lbs with assistance.
• Must stand continuously during shift.
• Health permit for food service tasks; board of education requirements.
• Minimum 15 hours of training in the first year and 10 hours yearly thereafter.
• Willingness to join state or national professional affiliations.

Responsibilities

• Attend required job-related training classes and workshops.
• Assist with production, preparation, storage, and safety/sanitation procedures.
• Follow instructions for preparing, portioning, garnishing, and serving meals.
• Maintain accurate records including time sheets and usage logs.
• Support other food service workers and act as replacement when needed.
• Adhere to district policies and maintain timely scheduling as required.
