The Food Service Assistant is responsible for duties including, but not limited to, monitoring and recording proper food temperatures, setting up and maintaining a clean and sanitized serving area, preparing and serving food, restocking food areas, cleaning equipment, receiving payments via a computerized register, and other related responsibilities.
Ensures compliance with Hazardous Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines. Provides excellent customer service and communicates effectively with patrons and co-workers. Demonstrates ability to establish effective working relationships. Maintains quality control standards. Operates equipment such as grills, beverage machines, toasters, ice cream dispensers, cash registers, steam equipment, dishwashers, refrigerators, and freezers. Prior experience in the food industry is preferred. Must be able to work independently, understand food safety and sanitation processes, and be on feet for most of the day, walking long distances.
