Job summary

The Boise Independent School District is seeking a part-time food service worker to support breakfast and other meals at secondary and elementary sites as needed. Additional days beyond the posted schedule may be required and paid on a time card.

New hires may transfer with credit on the Classified Salary Schedule; benefits exceed $10,000 annually for positions meeting half-time criteria. Start date ASAP with 180 work days in the year.

Qualifications

• High School graduation preferred.
• Previous experience with institutional foodservice preferred.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations for recipes, production sheets, and cashiering.
• Willingness to learn and follow federal, state, local, district and foodservice policies and regulations.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently.
• Ability to be self-directed and work independently or with a team.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school personnel, students and the public.
• Ability to stand on feet for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
