Job summary

MO Veterans Home is seeking a Food Service Assistant to help prepare, assemble, and serve meals to Veterans in a compassionate care environment. You will assist with meal selections, tray line assembly, and delivering meals to resident areas.

Responsibilities include food preparation, operating kitchen equipment safely, transporting carts, and maintaining cleanliness in dining spaces. Prior experience is modest; opportunities to learn and grow within the Missouri Veterans Home network are

• Clean the dining area – sweep and mop floors, equipment, remove garbage
• Operate dish machine and other kitchen equipment safely
• Lift, carry and transfer heavy food containers – load, stock, label, and rotate

Hourly Pay:

• $16.99 - $17.09 day shift
• $18.99 - $19.09 evening shift
