Job summary

Rutland Regional Medical Center is seeking a per diem Food Service Associate to support meal preparation and service for patients, staff and visitors. The role includes per diem hours, evenings (4:30 pm–7:00 pm), and rotating weekends/holidays as needed.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma (or equivalent) and prior food service and cash handling experience. Safe Food Handling certification can be obtained after hire.

• Prior food service and cash handling experience desirable.
• Safe Food Handling Certification (can be obtained after hire).
• Ability to follow oral & written instruction.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals for patients, staff and visitors as dictated by department needs.
• Perform general kitchen and food court duties.
• Assist with rotating shifts and per diem schedule as required.

Under the direction of the Food & Nutrition Manager, performs a variety of general kitchen and food court duties, including but not limited to, preparing and serving meals for patients, staff and visitors as dictated by department need.

• Prior food service and cash handling experience desirable.

Required Licenses/Certifications

• Safe Food Handling Certification (can be obtained after hire).
