Job summary

REPORTS TO: Food Service Kitchen Manager, Food Service Director or Assistant Food Service Director at Central Kitchen

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:1. High School Diploma / Equivalent

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Supports the District's mission and goals.

2. Assists in the set-up, preparation, packaging, and serving of meals.

3. Ensures sanitary condition of work area.

4. Operates Food Service equipment in a proper and safe manner.

5. Cleans utensils, sanitizes preparation surfaces and operates dishwasher.

6. Functions as cashier, meal line checker or server as needed.

7. Assists in clean-up of kitchen area as assigned.

8. Performs such other duties that may be assigned Kitchen Manager, Food Service Assistant Director or Food Service Director.

EVALUATION: Performance of the Food Service Assistant will be evaluated by the Food Service Director.

This position is 7 hrs/day for 177 days (175 student days + 2 workshop days) + 12 paid holidays. This position is eligible for benefits and leave outlined in linked contract.
