Job summary

Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation in West Orange, NJ is seeking a Food Service Aide (FSA) / Dietary Aide to join our inpatient care team. The role involves patient meal service, dining room duties, dish room tasks, and helping in food preparation and service to patients, families, staff and visitors.

Shifts are 6:00am–2:00pm, per diem (PRN) with weekend coverage. Compensation is $19.00 per hour plus shift differential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous healthcare food service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient food service, dining room service and dish room duties.
• Assist in food preparation and serve meals to patients, families, staff and visitors.
• Maintain clean work areas and adhere to safety and quality standards.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.

Schedule: 6:00am - 2:00PM Per Diem (PRN), (Includes Weekday & Weekend Shifts)

Compensation: $19.00 hourly + Shift Differential

You will perform a variety of patient food services, dining room services and dish room services. You will be an integral part of the food preparations, serving of the prepared food to patients, families, staff and visitors and assisting in clean up.

Preferred Qualifications

Per Diem Requirement: Must be available to work Six (6) shifts per Six (6) week schedule; Three (3) must be on the Weekend (Saturday's or Sunday's).
