Job summary

Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation in West Orange, NJ is seeking a Food Service Aide (FSA)/Dietary Aide for per diem shifts. The role involves patient meal service, dining room duties, and kitchen support, with opportunities to contribute to compassionate inpatient care.

You will assist with food preparation and serving to patients, families, staff and visitors while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous healthcare food service experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of patient food services, dining room services and dish room services.
• Be an integral part of the food preparations, serving of the prepared food to patients, families, staff and visitors and assisting in clean up.
• Providing quality work, showing knowledge of the job and good decision making.
• Being timely and efficient when preparing food.
• Providing high quality food preparation and service.
• Completing all procedures scheduled during the shift without compromising the quality of work.
• Volunteering to help in other areas of the kitchen when necessary.
• Demonstrating reliability and dependability in your work.
• Operating equipment and performing related duties in a safe manner

Location: 1199 Pleasant Valley Way, West Orange, NJ 07052

Schedule: 6:00am - 2:00PMPer Diem (PRN), (Includes Weekday & Weekend Shifts)

Compensation: $19.00 hourly + Shift Differential

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent
• Previous healthcare food service experience

Per Diem Requirement: Must be available to work Six (6) shifts per Six (6) week schedule; Three (3) must be on the Weekend (Saturday's or Sunday's).
