Job summary

ArchCare is seeking a part-time Dietary Aide for evening shifts from 4:30pm to 7:30pm in New York. Works with cooks to prepare resident meal trays and accommodate special dietary requirements, while serving residents, visitors, and staff.

The role focuses on tray delivery, dining room maintenance, and reporting issues to the supervisor. Requires 1 year of experience in food services or customer service and a High School Diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in food services or customer services.
• High School Diploma/GED.

Responsibilities

• Prepares menu items and delivers trays to residents in floor dining room areas and to those who do not come to the dining room, ensuring proper diets.
• Responsible for maintaining cleanliness, setting up and clearing dining room tables and serving carts.
• Observes residents and reports complaints, problems, or anything out of the ordinary to supervisor.
• Assists in receiving and storing incoming food and supplies. Reports food and equipment needs to Chef/Manager.
• Communicates and cooperates with staff, residents, and their families.
• Complies with long-term care regulations and written dietary procedures and policies.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Food Service Director/Supervisor, the Dietary aide works in conjunction with the cooks in preparing resident meal trays and special dietary requirements, along with serving food to residents,visitors,or staff.
