Job summary

Ferncliff Nursing Home is seeking a part-time evening Food Service Aide to support cooks in preparing resident meal trays and serving meals while ensuring dietary requirements are met.

Under supervision of the Food Service Director/Supervisor, you will work with residents, visitors, and staff, ensuring cleanliness and proper dining room setup. Prior food service or customer service experience is required. EEO notice applies.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in food services or customer service.

Responsibilities

• Prepares menu items and delivers trays to residents in floor dining room areas and to those who do not come to the dining room, ensuring their proper diets are administered appropriately.
• Responsible for maintaining cleanliness, setting up and clearing dining room tables and serving carts.
• Observes residents and reports complaints, problems, or anything out of the ordinary to supervisor.
• Assists in receiving and storing incoming food and supplies. Reports food and equipment needs to Chef/Manager.
• Communicates and cooperates with staff, residents, and their families.
• Complies with long-term care regulations and written dietary procedures and policies.

Job Description

Responsibilities:
