Job summary

Maple Ridge Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Kingston, PA is seeking a full-time Food Service Aide to join our dietary team. You will assist with meal preparation and service, ensure attractive, well-balanced meals, and follow Center standards and regulations.

We offer hourly wages based on experience, medical/dental/vision plans for full-time staff, 401K with company match, voluntary benefits, and early access to pay. Shifts include every other weekend and every other holiday.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and ability in food service prep and cleanup.
• Verbal and written English communication skills.
• Prolonged standing, frequent bending, walking, lifting, up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all food procedures are followed.
• Prepare food using proper handling and safety techniques.
• Maintain proper temperature of food during preparation and service.
• Assist in daily or scheduled cleaning duties in food service.
• Assist in serving meals, beverages, and special items on a timely manner.
• Assist in maintaining food storage areas in a clean and orderly manner.
• Label, dates, and stores food properly.
• Maintain a clean sanitary work area.
• Perform dishwashing service and cleaning procedures.
• Prepare and deliver snacks as directed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Food Service Aide

Maple Ridge Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center is a 92 bed long term care facility located at 615 Wyoming Ave. Kingston, PA.

We are currently looking for full-time Food Service Aides. Shifts include every other weekend and every other holiday.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Provides assistance in all nutrition service functions as directed by the Director of Food Service in accordance with the center’s standards and procedures, federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations. Assists with providing nourishing, attractive, well-balanced meals and a pleasant dining experience. Must follow company policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:

1. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Requires demonstrated knowledge and ability in food service preparation and clean up. Verbal and written English communication skills. Position requires prolonged standing, frequent bending, walking, stooping, lifting, stretching, moving heavy items, and lifting/ carrying up to 50 pounds.

2. Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

3. Experience: Previous long term care experience or institutional food service preferred.
