Job summary

Gila River Resorts & Casinos in Chandler, AZ is seeking hospitality team members for bar/restaurant service. This role focuses on delivering guest experiences, answering beverage questions, maintaining menu knowledge, and proactive service steps.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume bar, restaurant or nightclub preferred.
• In-depth wine and alcohol knowledge preferred.
• Must acquire and maintain a valid Gila River Environmental Health Food Handlers Card, Alcohol Awareness Certification, BBP and other required trainings.
• Ability to greet, interact with, listen to, and appreciate guests (GILA WAY).
• Excellent guest service skills, strong telephone etiquette, and ability to follow up with minimal supervision.
• Ability to build working relationships with guests and team members.
• Strong interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.

• Observes guests and anticipates needs and completes all steps of service as assigned.


• Builds and maintains knowledge of food and beverage offerings or beverage offerings to ensure all questions answered appropriate and accurately.


• Maintains a dependable work attendance record with extremely infrequent absences and/or lateness.


• Performs other special projects and duties as assigned

Skills/ Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.


• Experience working in a fast-paced, high volume bar, restaurant or nightclub is preferred.
