Job summary

Wet Willie's in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking an enthusiastic server to provide excellent food and beverage service. You will greet guests, take and input orders, and ensure accurate delivery from kitchen staff.

Description of daily/weekly specials and maintaining guest satisfaction throughout the meal are essential. Must be 18+, have a HS diploma, and strong English communication. Ability to multitask and stand for extended periods is required.

Responsibilities

• Service of food and/or beverage; take orders and input into POS system.
• Check station for cleanliness before, during, and after shift.
• Greet guests in a friendly, enthusiastic manner and describe daily specials.
• Verify food items with kitchen staff and ensure guest satisfaction throughout the meal service.
• Adhere to all liquor policies and state/federal regulations regarding alcohol service.

Job description

• Service of food and/or beverage to include the order-taking, delivery and clearing of any food and/or beverage items
• Checks station before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness
• Greet guests in a friendly, enthusiastic manner
• Know the daily, weekly specials and be able to describe them accurately
• Take orders and accurately input them into a POS system
• Verify all food items are prepared accurately and completely by the kitchen staff
• Must check-in on guests to ensure their satisfaction throughout the meal service
• Abide by all state, federal regulations and restaurant liquor policies pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Prefer a minimum of one year of previous serving experience
• Ability to effectively communicate in English (verbal and written)
• Must have an outgoing, friendly and professional demeanor
• Ability to stand, walk, and carry food trays for prolonged periods of time
• Must be able to multi-task and handle multiple tables at the same time
