Job summary

Pure Food Specialties in Illinois is seeking a sanitation associate to clean plant facilities using approved chemicals, disinfect surfaces, and sanitize equipment along the assembly line. The role requires standing, bending, and lifting, with a focus on keeping all areas clean and compliant with GMP guidelines.

Entry requirements include a high school diploma or GED, basic cleaning experience, and the ability to read English labels; bilingual preferred.

Qualifications

• Responsible for all cleaning of soiled supplies and equipment used in the manufacturing process
• All buildings (administration, production, distribution) must be maintained according to Company Policy. Maintains all buildings by washing walls, ceilings, floors, removing trash and disinfects all refrigerator units and cleans trash room. Operate rack washer, power washer, steamer, washer extractors and dryers.
• Responsible for maintaining supplies such as paper products for bathrooms and towel dispensers in all buildings.
• Responsible for always keeping assigned work area clean and tidy and reporting any potential contamination and suspicious activity to a supervisor or lead immediately.
• Efficiently disassembles and assembles equipment for proper cleaning.
• Adheres to all GMP guidelines in the performance of job.
• Is aware of the chemical properties and proper use of cleaning solutions and applies knowledge in their proper use.

Responsibilities

• Provide cleaning to plant facilities by using approved chemicals to disinfect surfaces, sanitize all components of our food production and processing equipment, and ensure that there is no unnecessary waste along the assembly line.
• Operate rack washer, power washer, steamer, washer extractors and dryers.
• Maintain supplies for bathrooms and towel dispensers.
• Keep work areas clean and report contamination or suspicious activity.
