Job summary

Fortrex is seeking a meticulous Food Safety Sanitor to uphold the highest cleanliness and safety standards in our food production processes. You will perform sanitation tasks according to our eight-step procedure and comply with all food safety policies and procedures.

This role involves lifting hoses and equipment, wearing PPE, and working in wet, hot or cold environments while following safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to take direction and instruction from managers and be accountable for own actions.
• Safety awareness and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in extreme temperature fluctuations.

Responsibilities

• Sanitation work following the eight steps and safety policies.
• Work with leads and management to ensure sanitation procedures are followed.
• Frequently lift hoses, equipment, and chemical containers.
• Wear employer-specified PPE such as gloves, face shield, eye goggles, aprons, boots, safety glasses.
• Involve exposure to chemicals with PPE.
• All night standing, lifting, and crouching for periods.
• Use Lock-out tag-out (LOTO).
• Other duties as assigned.
