Job summary

Fortrex is seeking a meticulous Food Safety Sanitor to join our team. You will perform sanitation duties in a wet, hot, or cold production environment, following eight steps and all safety policies.

You will work with leads to ensure procedures are followed and will frequently lift hoses, equipment, and chemical containers while wearing required PPE. The role demands safety awareness, attention to detail, and the ability to work in fluctuating temperatures.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Safety awareness and attention to detail is essential.
• Ability to work in extreme temperature fluctuations.
• Willingness to perform sanitation duties and follow PPE protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform sanitation using standard eight steps and follow all food safety policies.
• Work with leads and management to ensure sanitation procedures are followed.
• Lift hoses, equipment, and chemical containers as needed with proper PPE.
• Wear employer‑specified PPE including gloves, face shield, goggles, aprons, boots, safety glasses.
• Operate in wet, hot, or cold environments and adhere to safety regulations.
