Job summary

Fortrex is seeking a meticulous Food Safety Sanitor to join our team and uphold the highest cleanliness and safety standards in our food production processes. You will perform sanitation duties per policy, work with leads to ensure procedures are followed, and operate in a wet, hot, or cold environment while wearing PPE.

This role requires a willingness to lift equipment and work varied shifts across locations.

Qualifications

• Performs sanitation labor following eight steps of sanitation and food safety policies.
• Requires safety awareness and attention to detail.
• Able to work in extreme temperature fluctuations and follow PPE protocols.

Responsibilities

• Work with leads to ensure sanitation procedures are followed.
• Frequently lift hoses, equipment, and chemical containers.
• Wear employer-specified PPE (gloves, face shield, goggles, apron, boots).
• Exposure to chemicals with PPE required.
• Stand, lift, and crouch for extended periods.
• Perform tasks safely and use LOTO.
• Other duties as assigned.
