Job summary

Fortrex seeks a meticulous Food Safety Sanitor to uphold the highest sanitation and safety standards in our food production processes. You will follow eight steps of sanitation and comply with all safety policies to protect the food supply and our customers.

You will work with leads and management to ensure procedures are consistently followed, handling hoses, equipment, and chemical containers while wearing PPE.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to take direction and instruction from managers.
• Safety awareness and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in extreme temperature fluctuations.

Responsibilities

• Work cooperatively with leads and management to ensure sanitation procedures are followed.
• Frequently lift hoses, equipment, and chemical containers.
• Wear employer-specified PPE such as gloves, face shield, eye goggles, aprons, boots.
• Exposure to chemicals with PPE as required.
• All night standing, lifting, and crouching for periods at a time.
• Perform all tasks safely.
• Use Lock-out tag-out (LOTO).
• Other duties as assigned.
