Job summary

Fortrex is seeking a meticulous Food Safety Sanitor to join our team in maintaining the highest cleanliness and safety standards in food production. The role involves sanitation through eight steps, following safety policies, and working with leads to ensure procedures are met.

You will operate in wet environments, wear PPE, and handle chemicals safely. The position emphasizes safety, collaboration, and reliability in a fast-paced facility.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Safety awareness and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in extreme temperature fluctuations.

Responsibilities

• Perform sanitation tasks by following the eight steps of sanitation.
• Follow sanitation policies and procedures under supervision.
• Work with leads and management to ensure procedures are followed.
• Wear PPE and handle chemicals safely.
• Lift hoses, equipment, and chemical containers as needed.
• Operate in wet, hot, or cold environments.
• Use Lock-out tag-out (LOTO) procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
