Rise Baking Company, LLC in York, PA is seeking a Technician I in Food Safety & Quality for the 3rd shift. You will assist with upholding quality specifications for packaging, raw ingredients, and finished products, and monitor processes to ensure compliance with safety standards.

You will perform GMP walkthroughs, sample testing, document control, and coordinate with production to address nonconformities, while maintaining accurate records and supporting the food safety program across shifts.

Qualifications

• Associate's/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Basic knowledge of general food safety programs and policies including government regulations.
• HACCP and PCQI certified or willing to become certified.
• Basic analytical testing knowledge.
• Basic ability to use instruments/equipment vital to completing duties (e.g., scales, thermometers, metal detectors, calculators, gauges, calipers, rulers, ovens).
• Ability to read and understand plant SOPs, work instructions, GMPs, and safety instructions.
• Operational knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office applications.
• Basic problem-solving ability.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to organize, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work varied shifts as required.

Responsabilités

• Assist with implementing and supporting company standards for quality specifications of packaging, raw ingredients, and finished products.
• Monitor and sample quality control plans and process control procedures to ensure finished product is to standard.
• Perform GMP walkthroughs and ensure GMPs are followed in the facility.
• Monitor plant operations to ensure sanitary practices align with GMPs.
• Conduct pre-operational inspections and basic analytical testing.
• Identify and report food safety issues and assist investigations into issues, foreign material findings, and complaints.
• Review production records for compliance with good documentation practices.
• Support the food safety program and regulatory compliance across shifts.
