Job summary

Foster Farms in California is seeking a production/quality associate to ensure food safety documentation and compliance in our processing facility. The role focuses on maintaining HACCP/GMPs/SSOPs, documentation, and product disposition while supporting sanitation and process control.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, 1–3 years in food processing, strong communication, and proficiency with Excel/Word/Outlook.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of experience in food processing.
• Knowledge of USDA regulations, HACCP, GMPs, and SSOPs preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and proficient in mathematics.
• Computer proficiency: Excel, Word, Outlook.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Documentation: Ensures food safety documentation meets regulatory requirements, including documentation of corrective actions.
• Compliance: Monitors production processes and performs routine checks to ensure compliance with food safety and quality programs.
• Process Control: Ensures processes are in control and products meet company standards.
• Product Disposition: Directs product disposition, including inventory control and reconditioning procedures.
• Sanitation: Verifies sanitation practices through pre-operational equipment inspections.
• Communication: Communicates with production/maintenance personnel/supervision to resolve quality and food safety issues.

Essential Functions

Pay Rate: $27.50 per hour

(Additional $1.00 per hour for hours worked between 7:00pm and 11:59pm. Additional $2.00 per hour for hours worked between 12:00am-4:59am).
