Job summary

Foster Farms in Livingston, CA is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to provide mechanical and fabrication support at the Livingston Plant. You will fabricate and repair equipment from blueprints, operate lathe and milling machines, and weld with arc/heli-arc/gas methods.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of building and facilities maintenance experience.
• Good written and verbal English communications skills.
• Interact positively with Plant Production and Maintenance personnel to resolve maintenance issues.
• Ability to work rotating Tuesday - Saturday work weeks.
• Able to lift over 50 pounds.
• Willing to work overtime, weekends and times dictated by production equipment requirements/needs.
• Must submit and pass a criminal background check.

Essential Functions

Pay Range: $23.50 to $31.75 per hour.

(Additional $1.00 per hour for hours worked between 7:00pm and 11:59pm. Additional $2.00 per hour for hours worked between 12:00am-4:59am).

• To provide mechanical and machine maintenance and fabrication support to the Livingston Plant.
• Fabricate and repair equipment from blueprints and sketches (e.g. tables, conveyers, etc.).
• Operate lathe and milling machine.
• Weld using an arc, a heli-arc and gas.
• General cleaning and/or assisting other areas as needed and to maintain safety, housekeeping and follow proper sanitary procedures.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of five (5) years of building and facilities maintenance experience
• Must have good written and verbal English communications skills
• Must be able to interact positively with Plant Production and Maintenance personnel to resolve maintenance issues
• Must be able and willing to work rotating Tuesday - Saturday work weeks
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision
• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must be trained in lock-out tag-out and safe work practices
• Must be able to bend, stoop walk and stand for prolonged periods of time
• Must be able to climb and work from ladders and in confined spaces safely
• Must be able to work from high altitudes, catwalks and roofs
• Must be able to lift over 50 pounds
• Must be able to work on wet concrete floors
• Must be able to work overtime, weekends and times dictated by production equipment requirements/needs
• Must be able to submit and pass a criminal background check
